An early Report Card
This celebrates my surprise in learning last semester that the course I created at the University’s request, “Advertising in the Age of Alexa”, has entered the permanent curriculum in the Advertising/PR program at the Hussman School of Journalism & Media at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
While clearly delighted, this reflects as much on several others as myself. I’m indebted to the insights of my academic mentors: JoAnn Sciarrino, now Isabella Cunningham Chair in Advertising at the University of Texas, Professor of the Practice, Dana McMahan, and Distinguished Professor, John Sweeney. And I'm grateful for the leadership of Senior Associate Dean, Charlie Tuggle and Dean, Susan King.
Of course this post is my thank you to the real difference makers, my students.
